As part of her visit to the Namangan region, Her Excellency Ms. Smita Pant, Ambassador of India to Uzbekistan, visited Namangan State University.
The Rector of the University, Abdug‘affor Qirg‘izboyev, provided Ms. Smita Pant with detailed information on the large-scale reforms being implemented at the university, including the modernization of the education system, the development of scientific research activities, and the expansion of international cooperation.
The parties emphasized that the centuries-old friendship and partnership between Uzbekistan and India are currently reaching a new level. It was noted that the strengthening of interstate relations is also reflected in the sphere of higher education.
During the meeting, it was highlighted that the number of Indian students studying at the university has been steadily increasing. In particular, more than 100 Indian students are currently enrolled at the Faculty of Medicine, which serves as a clear example of effective cooperation in the field of education between the two countries.
At the conclusion of the meeting, the parties agreed to further expand mutually beneficial cooperation, launch joint educational programs, promote academic mobility, and implement joint research projects.
