Our Student Became a Prize-Winner of the “UZBEKISTAN OPEN” — Open Championship of Uzbekistan

The “UZBEKISTAN OPEN” — Open Championship of Uzbekistan in weightlifting among adults and youth was held in the city of Chirchiq, Tashkent region.

Athletes from neighboring countries — Turkey, Kazakhstan, Tajikistan, and the Kyrgyz Republic — also actively participated in this prestigious competition.

As part of the regional team, four students from the weightlifting program of the Faculty of Arts and Sports of Namangan State University достойно represented the university at the republican stage.

In particular, in the 53 kg weight category among adults, student Mastura Rahimjanova demonstrated high results. In the snatch event, she took 2nd place with a result of 64 kg, winning a silver medal. In the clean and jerk event, she also secured 2nd place with a result of 72 kg, earning her second silver medal.
