The “Prosecutor’s Cup” competition among adults and youth in national wrestling and freestyle wrestling was held at the “Barkamol Avlod” sports complex in Namangan city.
The award ceremony was attended by Regional Prosecutor Umirbek Madrakhimov, City Mayor Ayubkhon Kamalov, as well as responsible officials, coaches, and athletes.
More than 150 athletes participated in the competition. Among them, the Namangan State University team competed in intense and uncompromising matches for victory. The contests were organized in 5 weight categories for national wrestling and 6 weight categories for freestyle wrestling.
In all 5 weight categories of national wrestling, the university team members secured all prize-winning places. As a result, the Namangan State University team took 1st place in the overall team standings.
