The “New Uzbekistan Student Olympiad” has been launched at Namangan State University

On April 6, 2026, the solemn opening ceremony of one of the major sports projects playing an important role in the lives of students — the “New Uzbekistan Student Olympiad” — was held at the Museum of Olympic and Paralympic Glory.

The opening ceremony was organized in a centralized manner at the national level. As part of the event, representatives of all higher education institutions of the Namangan region gathered at the sports complex of Namangan State University.

Within the framework of the Olympiad, students will demonstrate their skills and potential in volleyball, handball, 3x3 basketball, table tennis, football, athletics, and swimming.

The “New Uzbekistan Student Olympiad” competitions will be held in three stages. The first stage will take place from April 6 to April 20 within higher education institutions (at the level of departments and faculties). The second stage will be held from May 1 to May 15 among regional higher education institutions. The final stage will take place from June 1 to June 10 at the Olympic Village in Tashkent, with the participation of winners of the regional stages.

These competitions aim to promote a healthy lifestyle among students, increase their physical activity, and further strengthen their interest in sports.
