On the occasion of Youth Day, an awareness meeting was held at Namangan State University with members of the Republican working group aimed at widely promoting the essence and significance of the Presidential Decree dated March 3, 2026, “On additional organizational and legal measures to strengthen the protection of the rights of women and children and to prevent harassment and violence against them.”
The meeting was attended by member of the Republican working group and Supreme Court judge Sanobar Mamadaliyeva, Deputy Head of the Namangan Regional Department of Internal Affairs for public security Zuhra Karimova, university prevention inspector Lola Nizamova, as well as students of the Law and Medical faculties.
During the event, Supreme Court judge Sanobar Mamadaliyeva emphasized the importance of this key document, noting that systematic reforms are being implemented in the country to protect the rights of women and children, and that their rights and legitimate interests are being more reliably safeguarded.
In addition, representatives of the judiciary, law enforcement agencies, justice bodies, and the family and women’s affairs department shared their views on the priority tasks outlined in the decree, particularly on protecting the rights of women and children, combating violence, and enhancing legal awareness among young people.
As part of the event, a тематик video was presented, and the protection of women and the negative consequences of early marriage were discussed in detail.
At the end of the meeting, students received comprehensive answers to their questions.
