Minister Holds Meeting with the Academic Staff of Namangan State University

As part of his visit to Namangan Region, the Minister of Higher Education, Science and Innovation of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Kongratbay Sharipov, held a meeting with the academic staff of Namangan State University.

During the meeting, particular attention was given to the large-scale reforms being implemented in the higher education system, improving the quality of education, advancing research activities, enhancing the international standing of higher education institutions, and strengthening the integration of education, science, and industry.

In his remarks, the Minister emphasized the importance of preventing crime and offenses among students, ensuring the meaningful organization of their free time, further strengthening the spiritual and educational environment, and fostering patriotism among young people.

The meeting also addressed issues related to promoting a zero-tolerance approach to corruption within the higher education system, reinforcing the principles of openness and transparency, improving graduate employment outcomes, and equipping students with modern professions and competencies that meet the demands of the labor market.

During the discussion, members of the university’s academic staff put forward a number of proposals and recommendations aimed at improving the quality of education, increasing the effectiveness of research activities, supporting young scholars, expanding international cooperation, and further developing the university’s infrastructure.
