On 23 July 2026, Namangan State University hosted a meeting with the heads of specialized educational institutions operating under the National Agency for Social Protection of the Republic of Uzbekistan. The meeting was organized to implement the instructions of the Prime Minister of the Republic of Uzbekistan and to ensure the implementation of measures aimed at expanding access to higher education for persons with disabilities.

The meeting was attended by Davron Dehqonov, Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs of Namangan State University, responsible university officials, and the principals and representatives of Specialized Schools No. 44, 45, 46, 47, 48, and 49 under the National Agency for Social Protection.

During the meeting, participants exchanged views on expanding higher education opportunities for graduates of specialized schools, facilitating their successful adaptation to university life, developing an inclusive educational environment within higher education institutions, and providing comprehensive support to applicants with disabilities.

The participants also discussed the conditions created for applicants with disabilities during the admission process, ensuring appropriate accommodations during entrance examinations, strengthening career guidance for graduates of specialized schools, enhancing the professional competence of academic staff in the field of inclusive education, and introducing modern approaches to inclusive teaching and learning.

The meeting was held in an open and constructive atmosphere, enabling participants to analyze current challenges and put forward practical proposals and recommendations for addressing them. Particular emphasis was placed on improving university preparation programs for graduates of specialized schools, strengthening career guidance initiatives, and establishing systematic cooperation between the university and specialized educational institutions.

At the conclusion of the meeting, the participants agreed to continue close cooperation aimed at expanding higher education opportunities for young people with disabilities, promoting the sustainable development of inclusive education, and strengthening partnership between Namangan State University and specialized educational institutions.

The meeting marked an important practical step toward advancing inclusive education, increasing the interest of young people with disabilities in higher education, and ensuring equal educational opportunities for all.
