According to the resolution on "Science, technology and innovations for the purposes of development" adopted by the UN General Assembly in order to create equal opportunities for women and girls to fully use science and expand the rights of women, February 11 - "International science - was announced as the day of women in the field of science.

This date is also widely celebrated in our country. In particular, significant measures are being implemented in our country to support women in every way, to increase their socio-economic and political activity, and to involve them in scientific activities. As a result, the contribution of women scientists to science is increasing.

Happily, 5 doctors of science and professors, 87 candidates of science and women with doctors of science in philosophy are working at Namangan State University today. Also, 172 doctoral students, 31 independent researchers and intern-researchers are engaged in scientific research activities.

Today, a round discussion was held at the university on the occasion of "International Women's Day in Science". Active women scientists, doctoral students and graduate women, including creative women, organized in cooperation with the regional "Women Scientists" Association, the primary organization of the University Women's Committee, and the Department of Scientific Research and Pedagogical Personnel Training. participated.

Dinara Yakubova, deputy governor of the region, who spoke at the roundtable discussion, spoke about the attention paid to women and ensuring gender equality in our country, the conditions created, and the norms adopted to support women's education. legal documents, including the efforts being made in order to increase the level of coverage of women with higher education in our region.

He said that in the last academic year, 356 women in the region were paid for their post-secondary education at the expense of the state budget. In addition, 150 girls with children from low-income families were given such an opportunity to study at the bachelor's level.

Also, poetess Dilbarkhan Haydarova, who spoke at the event, expressed her warm thoughts about the importance of science in the fate of women, the contribution of women scientists to the country's development, and the search for women university scientists.

In fact, Namangan State University is taking measures to increase the number of women and girls in startup project contests and among young scientists who are sent to foreign countries for internships.
