President Shavkat Mirziyoyev chaired a meeting dedicated to the issues of using the opportunities of Namangan region.

There are 6 state and 3 private universities in the province. It was noted that the time has come to change at Namangan University, which is the leader among them.

71 fields of study at the university will be reduced to 56 and will be fully supplied with new literature. Curricula are updated to improve the quality of education.

Taking into account that 32,000 of the 65,000 students of the universities come to study from other regions, it was ordered to organize dormitories in 43 neighborhoods around the universities.

Reports of officials and suggestions of businessmen were heard on the issues discussed at the meeting.
