Today, the first Uzbekistan-Malaysia Education Forum on the topic “Opportunities and Initiatives in Higher Education in Achieving the Sustainable Development Goals” was solemnly opened under the national anthems of the two countries.
Speaking at the opening ceremony of the forum, the Minister of Higher Education, Science and Innovation of the Republic of Uzbekistan Kungirotboy Sharipov, and the Minister of Higher Education of Malaysia Zambry Abdul Kadir emphasized the strong cooperation between the two countries in the field of higher education. The parties also noted the need to further expand ties between higher education institutions, develop academic mobility programs, implement joint educational programs, and increase the scope of scientific research in the future.
After that, the cultural part of the forum began. A concert program with the participation of artists from Uzbekistan and Malaysia instilled a high mood in the participants of the event and created a basis for a closer acquaintance with the cultures of the two countries.
During the forum, industry experts delivered presentations on various topics, and several initiatives were put forward to further expand bilateral cooperation.
