Department of Social Sciences haqida batafsil ma'lumot

In 2011, on the basis of the order of the Ministry of Higher and Secondary Specialized Education of the Republic of Uzbekistan on the organizational structure dated August 15, 2011, the departments of “Philosophy” and “Theory and Practice of Building a Democratic Society in  Uzbekistan” were merged. In 2011-2015, the department “Theory and practice of building a democratic society, philosophy” operates under the name of the department “Theory and practice of building a democratic society, philosophy” in 2015-2020. In 2011-2013 Ph.D. Led by A.Abdulazizov. In 2013-2022 Ph.D. Led by N. Gafurov. Since October 3, 2022, the leader is Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Sociology, acting. Professor K. Maxkamov. On October 15,2020, the department began working under the name “Social Sciences”.

The Department of Social Sciences specializes mainly in the preparation of bachelor's degrees in the field of education 60311000 - Sociology and master's degrees in the field of Sociology 70311001. Also, interfaculty courses in Philosophy, Religious Studies, Scientific Research Methodology, Research Methods and Skills, Religious Studies, Philosophy are taught for bachelor's degrees and master's degrees of the university. In addition, there is a basic doctoral program in the specialty 22.00.03 - Sociology of Social Consciousness and Social Processes and 23.00.02 - Political Institutions, Processes and Technologies
