In 2024, staff of Namangan State University, together with the Ministry of Ecology, Environmental Protection, and Climate Change of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Institute of Botany of the Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Uzbekistan, worked on a government working group to prepare a new edition of the Red Data Book of the Republic of Uzbekistan. In this regard, data was compiled and monitored on the impact of climate change, water deficiency, the negative impact of anthropogenic factors on endangered plants, and the importance of plants in poverty reduction and national economic development.
