A meeting with entomologist scientists was held within the framework of international cooperation

Researchers from the Institute of Zoology of the Chinese Academy of Sciences (Beijing), namely Dr. Zhu Xichao, Mr. Zhao Kaidong, Mr. He Peng, and Mr. Xiao Suyang, as well as senior researchers from the Entomology Laboratory of the Institute of Zoology of the Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Uzbekistan — Dilshod Musayev, Sobirjon Sobirov, and Shokhruz Nazarov, visited the Faculty of Biotechnology of Namangan State University. Within the framework of the visit, a meeting with students and faculty members was organized.

At the beginning of the meeting, Dr. Zhu Xichao delivered a presentation on the topic “Study of biodiversity of the fauna of the Fergana Valley” and also provided information about the collection fund of the Institute of Zoology of the Chinese Academy of Sciences in Beijing. The presentation aroused great interest among students, and they received detailed answers to their questions.

The Dean of the Faculty of Biotechnology, Avazbek Batoshov, introduced the guests to the activities of the Biological Research Center laboratory and the scientific research being conducted there.

In addition, opportunities for developing scientific projects and organizing various competitions and grant programs in this field were discussed during the meeting. The guests emphasized their readiness to provide comprehensive support to students and researchers interested in implementing such initiatives.

At the end of the event, the Dean of the Faculty of Biotechnology, Avazbek Batoshov, expressed his gratitude to the guests for their visit and presented them with commemorative gifts.
