Namangan State University in accordance with the Decision of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan dated 24.12.2021 "On measures to grant financial independence to state higher education institutions" No. PQ-61, higher education institutions granted financial independence included in the list.
The educational process at the university is approved by the order of the Minister of Higher and Secondary Special Education No. 357 of June 30, 2020 and the Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan No. 824 of December 31, 2020 "In Higher Education Institutions Based on the Regulation "On the Procedure for Introducing the Credit-Module System to the Educational Process", it was established on the basis of the credit-module system from the 2020/2021 academic year.
As of the 2022/2023 academic year, the university has 8 educational buildings with a capacity of 8,787 students and 243 classrooms, 1 activity hall, 5 gyms, 2 summer sports facilities, 4 canteens and It uses 4 student residences with a capacity of 1594 places.
The university structure has 16 faculties (Mathematics, Physics, Natural Sciences, Pedagogy-psychology, Pre-school and elementary education, Philology, English philology, World languages, Law, Social sciences, Physical culture, Art science, Economics, Biotechnology, Music Education and Culture, Medicine), 46 departments operate.
Also, in cooperation with 3 higher educational institutions of the Russian Federation (Russian State Pedagogical University named after A. Gersen, Ural State Medical University, Russian University of Biotechnology) in 7 undergraduate courses (number of students 83) educational programs are organized.
At the university, personnel are trained in 67 fields of study at the bachelor's level and 33 specialties at the master's level. Over the past 3 years, the number of undergraduate courses has increased by 1.5 times, and the number of master's specialties has increased by 1.6 times.
As of 2023, the university has launched the training of scientific personnel in 27 basic doctoral specialties, of which 17 or 63 percent were established in the last 3 years.
As of May 1, 2023, a total of 28,547 students study at the university, including 14,389 full-time students, 2,688 evening students, 9,981 part-time students, 82 joint students, and 1,407 graduate students.
735 (255 of them or 35% women) professors and teachers are working in the main staff of the university, 246 of them are employees with academic degrees and titles. Of these, 27 are doctors of science (including DSc), professors, 219 are candidates of science (including PhD), associate professors. As of May 1, 2023, the scientific potential of the university is 33.5 percent. In 2020, 15 doctors of science (including DSc), professors, 189 candidates of science (including PhD), associate professors worked at the university.
"Aquaculture" in the field of fisheries at the cost of 165.3 thousand US dollars within the framework of the World Bank grant project to increase the training-laboratory support of the educational process with modern capacities, to establish training-production and scientific-research polygons training and production center, "Sukat" training and production center in the field of food and biotechnology in the amount of 16.7 thousand US dollars on the basis of a grant from the USAID fund, 250.0 from the university's own funds million unitary educational and production enterprise "NamDU Innovation-2022" specializing in production technology and construction of educational and household furniture was established in the amount of soums.
