Rasulov Azamjon Avazjonovich

The Department of Organic Chemistry was created on October 14, 2020 on the basis of the Department of Chemistry. The Department of Chemistry was founded in 1998. Associate Professor Yu.R.Toshmatov and Professor Sh.V.Abdullayev were the first to make a great contribution to the creation of the Department of Chemistry. After this, associate professors O.Abdullayev, R.Dekhkanov, teachers G.Siddikov and B.Tajiboev made their contributions. In previous years, the department was headed by Professor Sh.V.Abdullaev (1992-1998), associate professors Y.Toshmatov (1998-1999), R.Dekhkanov (2000-2006 and 2008-2019), M.Kodirkhanov (2007), T. Saypiev (2008), D.Holmatov (2019-2020), T.Saypiyev (2020-2022) and A.Rasulov (2022).

Today A.Rasulov has been the head of the Department of Organic Chemistry. The department prepares bachelors in the specialty “5440400-Chemistry” and masters in the specialty “5A440410-Bioorganic chemistry, chemistry of natural and physiologically active substances.” Currently, training is underway in the specialties 60530100 - bachelors of chemistry, 70530101 - masters of chemistry (by subjects).

The department has a staff of 13 professors and teachers, including 2 doctors of science, a professor, 6 candidates of science and associate professors. Scientific potential is 62%. In addition, 6 basic doctoral students are engaged in scientific and teaching activities.

Over the past years, thanks to the work of professors and teachers of the department graduate student Abdulladjanova N. received President State Scholarship; Holmatov D., Botirova S., Haydarova D., Kasimova O., Umarov F., Barakaeva D. became laureates of  Ulugbek State Scholarship.

In a short time, chemist graduates of Namangan State University joined the ranks of scientists at various research institutions in our country. In particular, more than 30 of our graduates work at the Institute of Bioorganic Chemistry of the Republic of Uzbekistan. Scientists from our department have achieved a number of results within the framework of international cooperation.

In particular, Associate Professor of our department Olimjon Abdullayev worked at the Chinese Academy of Sciences in 2015-2019 and was awarded the title of Honorary Professor of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, and also took first place in the competition of foreign scientists working in China and was awarded a gold medal.

3 graduates of Namangan State University with a degree in chemistry and a master's degree defended themselves at various research institutes of the Chinese Academy of Sciences. Among them, Jamshid Kodirkhanov was directly awarded the academic degree of Doctor of Science for his defense in a higher educational institution, which is among the 100 best in the world.

In 2011/2012, D. Sattarova returned from a scientific internship in the People's Republic of China at the Institute of Applied Chemistry of the Chinese Academy of Sciences in Changchun sponsored by UNESCO, and in 2018 - by Istedod Foundation.

Currently, three of our graduates are studying for doctoral studies at one of the top 100 universities in the world in Paris, three are doctoral students at the Chinese Academy of Sciences, and one is a doctoral student in Poland.

In addition, our departments have scientific cooperation with 300 of the best universities in the world, in particular with the University of Aachen in Germany, the University of Paris PSL in France, the University of Antwerp in Belgium, and the University of Vrije in the Netherlands. As a result of cooperation in May-June 2023, M. Hakimov returned from a 2-month scientific internship at Vrije University in the Netherlands through a grant from the Ministry of Innovative Development of the Republic of Uzbekistan.

Starting from 2022, in order to ensure the implementation of Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan No. 942 dated November 22, 2018, a modern training laboratory will be built within the framework of the project in the amount of 350 thousand US dollars. “Strengthening the material and technical base of higher educational institutions”, with the participation of the Islamic Development Bank, equipment was delivered and put into operation at the Ministry of Higher and Secondary Special Education. This imported laboratory equipment was considered the latest type of equipment and was available only in laboratories of higher educational institutions and research centers that rank high in international rankings.

The introduction of this new laboratory equipment has increased the interest of chemistry students in gaining deeper knowledge and scientific research.

This laboratory is gaining great importance in solving issues of scientific activity of young scientists. Based on the results obtained in this laboratory, in the last academic year more than 12 scientific articles were published in scientific journals with a high impact factor, included in the Scopus and Web of Science databases.

In addition, today, under the leadership of professors and teachers of the Department of Inorganic Chemistry, various scientific projects are being implemented at the expense of a state grant, including, in collaboration with the People's Republic of China, “Low-carbon processing of medicinal plants growing in China and Uzbekistan” for 2023/2024 international practical project on the topic “Preparation of basic technologies and equipment”, 2 start-up projects are being implemented on the topics “Technology for preparing an aqueous suspension of anti-adhesive - calcium stearate” and “Technology for creating a composite for drawing steel wire, obtained on the basis of local import-substituting raw materials.”
