Head of the department of Russian Language and Literature

The Department of Russian Language and Literature of Namangan State University has existed since the founding of the first higher educational institution in the Namangan region. Over the many years of its functioning, the department has managed to graduate many thousands of highly qualified specialists for public education and other systems. The basics of science and pedagogical skills were taught to students in different years by famous teachers: Honored Scientist of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Doctor of Philology, Professor T.Kh. Khamidova, Doctor of Pedagogical Sciences, Professor A.M. Kim, associate professors Sheinkerman L.R., Weinberg Ya.M., Ulyanov Yu.P.. Ibragimov M.Kh., Tsai A.V., Fatkulina R.Z., M.I. Ternovskaya, Doskovskaya G.E. and other masters of pedagogical art.

The Faculty of Russian Language and Literature of our university has always been among the best throughout the republic. Therefore, positive feedback has always been addressed to our department.

In 2020, the teaching staff of the department, headed by the laureate of the International Pushkin Competition of Associate Professors A.Kh. Abdulazizov, is engaged in the educational process in the department of Russian language and literature. The department employs experienced specialists, such as the laureate of the International Pushkin Competition, Professor Nasyrov Kodirzhon Nasyrovich, the laureate of the International Pushkin Competition, Professor F.A. Gabdulkhakov, associate professors E.V. Zhen, E.O. Zinin, M.M. Ismanova, senior teachers E.I.Akramova, R.K.Yusupova, Kh.E. Faizullaeva, laureates of the International Pushkin Competition D.M. Islamova, A.M. Mirzanazarova, and others.

Over the years, the heads of the department were Candidate of Pedagogical Sciences, Prof. Kodyrzhon Nasyrovich Nasyrov, Associate Professor Oleg Aleksandrovich Golubtsov, Candidate of Pedagogical Sciences, Professor Farid Akhunovich Gabdulkhakov, Associate Professor Elena Vitalievna Zhen, Associate Professor Evgeniy Olegovich Zinin, Associate Professor Saidova Muhabbat and others.

Currently, the department of Russian literature is headed by Khaitov Mamasoli Masharipovich, senior lecturer.

Currently, 11 professors and teachers work at the department. Of these, 1 professor, 2 candidates of science, 2 senior teachers, 7 teachers.

The department has clubs “Treasured Lyra” and “Literary Environment”.

Pedagogical work at the department is successfully combined with scientific research, one of the specific expressions of which is scientific collections on current issues of intercultural communication in its socio-psychological, linguistic, literary, and translation aspects, systematically published since 2006 under the leadership of Professor K. Nosirov. The last four of these collections were published under the title “Commonwealth of Languages – Commonwealth of Cultures”. This year, for the first time in this series, an international collection of scientific articles is being prepared for release with the participation of specialists from a number of universities in Russia, the USA, Belarus, Kyrgyzstan, Azerbaijan and Poland. In addition to the teaching staff, gifted students take part in these collections.

Currently, at Namangan State University, personnel training in the Russian language is carried out in two areas of education: 60230100 – Philology and language teaching (Russian language), 6011700- Russian in foreign language groups 5120100 – Philology and language teaching (Russian language) 5112500- Russian in foreign language groups in day and evening forms of education. The student population is over 870.
