Dean of the Faculty of Pedagogy

The Namangan State Pedagogical Institute was established in 1942 as a branch of the Andijan Teachers' Institute and was transformed into an independent educational institution in 1944. In 1955, the Namangan State Pedagogical Institute was transformed into the Namangan State University in 1992 in order to improve the training of scientific personnel based on the decision of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan No. 356.

The activity of the faculty of pedagogy and psychology is inextricably linked with the history of our university.

The Department of Pedagogy and Psychology was established in 1945 and in different years it was attended by: associate professor A.F. Magazinnik, p.f.n. Z. Mirtursunov (1955-1958), R. Isomova (1945-1946), Ph.D., associate professor A. Askarov (1958-1978), associate professor A. Burkhanov, G. Ubaydullayev (1969), PhD, professor A. Q. Munavvarov (1978- 1996), V.I. Shegol, associate professor M. Khayitboyev, associate professor M. S. Nishonov (1993-2002), G. K. Joraboyev, A. Kh. Sattarov, B. Madaminov, O. Askarova, M. Boltayeva were the directors.

In 2020, the department of pedagogy and psychology was separated into the "Pedagogy-psychology" faculty. The faculty was headed by candidate of pedagogical sciences, associate professor M.Boltayeva.

The faculty has 3 main departments. Department of theory and history of pedagogy (director O. Askarov), department of psychology (director A. Turgunboyeva) and department of educational management (director K. Shodmonov).

Faculty of Pedagogy On September 4, 2023, the Faculty of Pedagogy was established as a result of the optimization of the faculties of Pedagogy-Psychology, Music Education and Culture, and Arts. Department of Psychology, Department of Theory and History of Pedagogy, Department of Management, Department of Fine and Applied Arts, Department of Vocational Education, Department of Music Education and Cultural Studies were added to the Faculty. The faculty is managed by candidate of pedagogic sciences, associate professor M.Boltayeva.
