Head of the department of Algebra and methods of teaching mathematics

Brief history of the department :

In October 2020, the Department of Mathematics was divided into two parts and became the Department of Higher Mathematics and the Department of Mathematical Analysis. In total, the main staff of the department consists of 14 professors and teachers. Three of them are candidates of science.

In September 2023, the name of the department of higher mathematics was changed to the department of “ Algebra and methods of teaching mathematics .” Currently, the Department of Algebra and Methods of Teaching Mathematics has 1 Doctor of Science, Professor, 1 Candidate of Science, Associate Professor, 1 Associate Professor, 1 PhD, 4 senior teachers, 6 teachers.

The results of research work carried out within the framework of state scientific and technical programs, scientific articles on mathematics are published in international, republican and scientific journals.

The department teaches linear algebra, algebra, linear algebra and analytical geometry, discrete mathematics and mathematical logic, mathematical analysis, higher mathematics and mathematics in all areas. The staff of the department collaborates with major scientists of the Mathematical Institute of the Academy of Sciences of Uzbekistan.

  Currently at the department is Doctor of Pedagogical Sciences, Professor X.Najmiddinova, candidate of physical and mathematical sciences, associate professor Yu.Tashmirzaev. PhD U.Mamadaliev, Associate Professor R.Polvanov, Senior Lecturer I.Tillaboev, F.Xolmurodov, R.Sobitov, J.Egamov, teachers Z.Sotimboeva, O.Alixanov, N.Kadirova, Sh.Maxsudova, Sh.Umirzakov, Sh.Gayniddinov conduct educational and methodological work .

 Responsibilities of the department:

The work of the department is carried out in accordance with long-term and current (annual) plans, covering educational, scientific-methodological, scientific-research, spiritual-ethical and educational and organizational-methodological work. The implementation of these plans and other tasks related to the activities of the department are discussed at meetings chaired by the head of the department. Employees of other departments and higher educational institutions may be invited to department meetings.

The main staff of the department consists of 14 professors and teachers, 4 of them have academic degrees and scientific titles. The scientific potential of the department is 28.57%.
