Head of Department of Foreign Languages ​​in Specific and Natural Areas

There was no faculty of foreign languages from 1942 to 1961, when Namangan State University was founded, foreign languages  were taught at the  departments of Russian and Uzbek languages. The Department of Foreign Languages of Inter-Faculty was first established in 1961 as a service department in the former Namangan State Pedagogical Institute (now NamSU) teaches foreign languages in English and German. In 1966, the English and German languages were opened in the university and the departments were prepared and specialists of foreign languages were discontinued, and teachers and foreign language lessons were transferred to this chair. In 1982, the admission to a foreign language (English and Russian)  course was suspended, and the service department was established in English and German, and professors of these departments were trained by the university, from 1980 to 1990, it taught English and German.

During these years Malikjon Shamsiddinov, Nurmatjon Ermatov, Saidumar Sayidaliev, Nematilla Otajonov, Ranohon Yuldasheva, Bakhodir Bakhromov, Yunuskhan Sodikov were the heads of departments.

 In 1991, the department of foreign languages of Inter-faculty was reorganized and it was functioning until the re-opening of the German and English language courses in 1992. During this period, senior lecturer Uktamjon Nurmatov was the head of the department. During 1992-1996, teachers of the departments of English and German, who taught at specialized departments, taught foreign language subjects to students of all areas of the university. In 1996, the Department of Foreign Languages at the Namangan State University Faculty of Foreign Philology was reorganized and functioned for 14 years. By 2010, teachers of the department and foreign languages were added to the English, German and French language courses. According to the order of the Ministry of Higher and Secondary Special Education of the Republic of Uzbekistan in August 2014, the University Council Resolution No 1 of August 29, 2014, aimed at improving the university's functioning and management based on the new organizational structure of Namangan State University On October 2, 2014, the University organized the 77 V / O German and English languages faculties.

On the basis of the order of the rector of the University dated March 2, 2015  №130 SH / T - approved the teaching staff of the department. The department was called the Department of Inter-faculty Foreign Languages from September 2015 until January 2021.

In order to ensure the implementation of the order of the Rector of the University dated January 15, 2021 №7 B / O "On the establishment of departments at Namangan State University" and to approve the composition of the newly established departments and staff units from February 1, 2021 On the basis of the Department of Foreign Languages, the Department of Foreign Languages ​​in Social and Humanitarian Directions and the Department of Foreign Languages ​​in Specific and Natural Areas were established and the teaching staff was approved.

Najmitdinov Jobir Zokirovich currently heads the department of foreign languages. The department now has 16 professors and teachers, including one associate professor.
