Sulaimanov Mominjon Yusubjonovich

The Department of Uzbek Literary Studies has been operating since 1942, when the Namangan Teachers' Higher Education Institution was established. In some years, it was also called "Department of Uzbek Language and Literature". Therefore, it is no exaggeration to say that the history of the department is closely related to the history of NamSU. So, the department celebrates its 82nd anniversary this year.

From 2021, the "Uzbek literary studies" master's course was opened. 31 students studied there and successfully graduated. Currently, 22 graduate students are studying. From 2023, our master's programs have been expanded, and the course "Textology" has also been opened.

In different years, the department was managed by famous literary scholars: Associate Professor TojibovGhaziboev, Associate Professor SalohiddinJamolov, Associate Professor NuriddinBobohojaev, Professor OdiljonNosirov, Associate Professor OghiloyAzimova, Associate Professor MahmudjonMamurov, Associate Professor Faridakhan Karimova and others. The scientists of the department have created scientific studies devoted to the current problems of Uzbek literary studies. It is necessary to mention the name of TajibovGhaziboyev as the first candidate of science among literary critics of Namangan. The scientist is one of the first folklorists among Uzbek writers. Because in 1956, he successfully defended his candidate's thesis on the topic "Creation of the son of FazilYoldosh". For forty years, while teaching students the science of Uzbek folklore, he recorded hundreds of examples of folklore: proverbs, songs, fairy tales, legends and narratives, epics. Involved students in this work and identified many performers of folklore during folklore practice. Dozens of folk epics and other examples of folklore recorded by the scientist are stored in the Folklore Fund of the Institute of Language, Literature and Folklore named after Alisher Navoi of the Academy of Sciences of Uzbekistan. T. Ghaziboyev is the author of several monographs and methodological manuals.

SalahiddinJamolov was the first scientist who proved that Zahiriddin Muhammad Babur's world-famous work "Boburnoma" is an artistic century. In 1962, he defended his candidate's thesis on the topic "Artistic features of Boburnoma".

Associate Professor NuriddinBoboho'zhayev is a scientist who conducted the first scientific research on the work of Ms. Zulfiya (ZulfiyaIsrailova). He defended his candidate's thesis under the supervision of Professor OzodSharofiddinov on the topic "Artistic skills of Zulfiya".

In 1969, Professor OdiljonNosirov defended his candidate's thesis on the subject of "Ghazal Genre in Uzbek Literature" under the supervision of Professor NatanMallaev. In 1972, he published a monograph entitled "Ghazal in Uzbek literature". Along with scientific researches, the scientist also carried out significant works in the field of literary translation. He translated the Lithuanian writer Jonas A vijyuus's novel "Years in a Separation" and Lithuanian fairy tales from Russian into Uzbek.

An -Naim" was compiled for the first time in Uzbekistan by a group of scientists under the leadership of Professor O. Nosirov, and 3000 copies were published in Tashkent in 2003. This dictionary included 50,000 words in active use in the Arabic language. Later, this dictionary was reworked and supplemented by associate professor MuhammadjonYusupov and senior teacher YunuskhanRahmatullaev, 10,000 more words were added, and it is published annually under the name " An -Naim al-Kabir".

In 1970, Associate Professor MahmudjonMa'murov successfully defended his candidate's thesis under the supervision of Professor NatanMallaev on the topic "Folchlor traditions in Uzbek poetry" .M. Ma'murov published dozens of poetry collections and memoirs.

Associate professor OghiloyAzimovadefended her candidate's thesis on the achievements of Uzbek dramaturgy.

In 1993, Associate Professor Ma'murakhan Jamolova defended her candidate's thesis on the topic "Nome Genre in Uzbek Literature" and published a monograph under the same name.

In 2012, Associate Professor Obitjon Karimov defended his candidate's thesis on "Metaphorical images in the poetry of Abdulla Oripov". In 2014, he received the title of associate professor. So far, about 450 scientific, scientific-methodological, scientific-popular articles, 3 monographs, 2 pamphlets and more than 10 methodological instructions and manuals have been published. International conferences held in Hamburg , Germany in 2013 and Rotterdam in the Netherlands in 2019participant. Excellence in Public Education of the Republic of Uzbekistan (1996) . He is working on his doctoral dissertation in the field of " The problem of text history, mystical and aesthetic interpretation in literary studies (as an example of Nurboy Jabbarov's studies)".

In 1992, Associate Professor Komiljon Abdullaev defended his dissertation on "Methodology of using interdisciplinary communication in the process of studying Uzbek classical literature" written for the degree of candidate of pedagogical sciences. Author of 1 textbook, 1 monograph, 3 methodological manuals. He published more than 130 scientific and methodological articles in the cities of the United States of America, Spain, India, Kazakhstan, Tajikistan, Tashkent, Samarkand, Jizzakh, Fergana, Andijan , Bukhara, Khorezm, Karshi, Namangan.In 1998, he was awarded the "Excellence of Public Education" badge , and in 2016, he was awarded the "25 Years of Independence of Uzbekistan" commemorative badge.

Associate professor Faridakhan Karimova defended her candidate's thesis on "Prelude to Uzbek literature" in 1993 and published a monograph on "Prelude to Uzbek literature" in 2008. In 2007, he published a teaching manual on the topic "Preludes created in the period after Navoi" . On December 28, 2023, he defended his doctoral dissertation on the topic "Prologue and its poetics in Eastern literature" and published his monograph on this topic. Author of several educational manuals.

In 1996, Associate Professor Mominjon Sulaimanov defended his candidate's thesis on the topic "Hafiz Khorezmi and the development of Uzbek lyrical poetry". His monograph "Life and work of Hafiz Khorezmi" was published in 9 languages in Germany in 2020. So far, about 300 scientific, scientific-methodical, scientific-popular articles, more than 20 monographs, methodological instructions, pamphlets have been published.

In 2017, Associate Professor Abdulhamid Kurbanov defended his candidate's thesis on the topic "The artistry of the titles of Alisher Navoi's epic "Farhad and Shirin". Two monographs on the subject have been published.

Associate Professor Tajibayeva Dilfuza Erkinovna"Problems of Poetic Style in Uzbek Poetry of the Last Quarter of the 20th Century" at the Scientific Council of Fergana State University, Ph.D. He defended his dissertation on December 27, 2018. Since 2018, he has the scientific title of Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in philological sciences. On June 30, 2022, with the report of the Higher Attestation Commission of the Republic of Uzbekistan No. 03 No. 0118885, 319. / 1., he specialized in "Uzbek literature" has the title of associate professor.

Associate Professor Boltaboyeva Ozodakhan Yuldashaliyevna defended her doctoral dissertation on 10.00.02 in 2019, specializing in Uzbek literature, on the topic "Literary movement in Namangan at the beginning of the 20th century: figures, traditions, renewal" and is a doctor of philosophy in philological sciences (PhD ) received his scientific degree. About 100 scientific articles have been published in republican and foreign journals, international conference and symposium collections recognized by OAC. Also, Mulla Yoldosh Toraboy translated the works of his son Khilvati "Sairul Jibal", "Qasidai ilm", "Charoghi Maktab" from the old Uzbek script into current spelling, foreword, dictionary and published an annotated version in 2014. In 2020, the book "Life and Literary Activity of Ishaq Khan Tora Ibrat" was published. In 2020, he published a monograph entitled "Literary movement of Namangan at the beginning of the 20th century".

Saydahmedova Nigora Sulaymonovna is the author of a methodical manual on the topic "Learning Muhammad Yusuf's creativity in the process of extracurricular activities". The topic of the dissertation written for the PhD degree on the topic "Innovative technologies of teaching the work of Muhammad Yusuf" was published in the 1st issue of 2020 of HAC. In 2023, the dissertation on the topic "Innovative technologies of teaching the creativity of Muhammad Yusuf" was successfully defended. About 30 scientific articles on the subject have been published in republican magazines and collections of international conferences recognized by OAC.

Teacher Joraboyeva Sabokhon Anvarkhanovna have been published in republican and foreign journals, international conference and symposium collections. Currently, under the supervision of Doctor of Philology, Associate Professor F.I.Karimova, he is about to complete the scientific research work on the topic "Creative heritage of Mulla Shams Shavqiy Namangani".

Teacher Otakhanova Mahmuda Mamadaliyevna has been working at the Department of Uzbek Literature since September 2021. The topic of the scientific research work "Poetics of Chusti's lyrics" under the leadership of Doctor of Philological Sciences, Associate Professor F.I.Karimova was announced in the 2021 issue of the 1st issue of the HAC bulletin. Successfully passed the competition announced for the position of teacher in October 2022. About 20 scientific articles have been published in republican journals recognized by OAC and collections of international conferences.

The monograph of the teacher Davlataliyeva Kumush Akmaljon's daughter on the topic "Artistic perception of moral and educational issues in Navoi's lyrics" was published in the prestigious German publishing house Lambert in 2023 and was translated into 7 languages of the world by various publishers. The topic of the scientific research work "Mallayev - researcher and translator of the literature of brotherly peoples" under the leadership of Doctor of Philological Sciences, Associate Professor Hamidjon Hamidov (Hamidiy) was announced in the 3rd issue of 2023 of the HAC bulletin. About 20 scientific articles have been published in republican journals recognized by HAC and collections of international conferences. In 2024, the methodical guide on the topic "Problems of teaching Alisher Navoi's works in the educational system" was published in French by the German publishing house Editions universitaires europeennes.

Currently, 16 professors are working at the Department of Uzbek Literary Studies . 7 of them are scientists with scientific degrees. In addition, associate professor AbdulhamidKurbanovwith the scientific degree of Doctor of Philosophical Sciences and SheraliTurgunov with the scientific degree of Doctor of Philosophical Sciences work full-time at the department. 9 of the faculty members are women and 7 are men.
