Head of the department of Archeology

The "Archaeology" department was established on October 15, 2020, and in 2020-2023, candidate of history sciences, associate professor Sarimsokov Abdilatip Abdirakhimovich, from September 4, 2023, doctor of philosophy (PhD) in history sciences, associate professor Khalmuratov Bakhtiyor Rejavalievich works as the head of the department. 

The "Archeology" department mainly specializes in training bachelors in the fields of education 60220400 - Archaeology, 60220300 - History (by countries and directions) and masters in the specialties 70220401 - Archeology, 70230501 - Ethnography, ethnology and anthropology . 07.00.06 - Basic doctoral studies and doctoral studies in archeology are also available. 

Currently, 9 (nine) professors are working in the department. The scientific potential of the department is 44.4%. 

Department of "Archaeology" National Center of Archeology and Institute of History of the Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Uzbekistan, National University of Uzbekistan, Akhsikent Archaeological Heritage Protection and Research Memorial Complex, Cultural Heritage Agency Namangan Regional Office, Museum of History and Culture of Namangan Region established cooperative relations with. 

The scientific researches of the "Archaeology" department are mainly devoted to "Actual problems of the archeology and ethnology of the Fergana Valley".
