Head of the department of Sports Activities

The Department of Sports Activities was founded on November 1, 2017. The department trains specialists in the educational field of sports activities. The department employs 16 professors and teachers. Of these, 5 are candidates of pedagogical sciences, working as associate professors, 1 associate professor, 6 senior teachers and 3 teaching assistants, 1 trainee teacher. In the 2023-2024
academic year, the scientific potential of the department will be 37.5% of the total staff. At the department, 11 teachers have undergone advanced training, 5 of them are planned to be promoted in 2023-2024. Head of the department Associate Professor, N. Azizov has been heading the department since March 9, 2020.

The department trains masters in the specialty 71010301 – sports activities (by sports). 61010300 - sports activities: (by sports: Volleyball, Handball, athletics, wrestling). 5 independent researchers are engaged in research work at the department. The teachers of the department publish articles with a high impact factor in foreign journals, UAC journals, at international and national conferences. The teaching staff of the department, in collaboration with about 20 teachers of secondary schools, vocational schools, academic lyceums and vocational colleges, has published about 10 scientific articles and about 10 manuals.
