The Department of Ecology and Climatology was originally created as the Department of Geography and Ecology. The subject of comprehensive scientific research of the department is called: the study of scientific and practical aspects of the rational use of natural resources of the Fergana Valley and the elimination of environmental problems. To date, professors of the department have published 5 textbooks, 12 teaching aids, about 20 methodological instructions, 7 monographs, 6 laboratory and practical classes. The department has created 2 educational laboratories in the disciplines “Soil and agroecology” and “Conservation of biological diversity”. This laboratory is equipped with modern equipment.
