University Rector

Abdugafar Karimjonovich Kyrgyzboyev (August 10, 1962, Uchkurgan district, Namangan region, Uzbek SSR) is an Uzbek historian, scientist, doctor of historical sciences (2005), professor (2016).

Abdugafar Kyrgyzboyev was born on August 10, 1962 in Uchkurgan district, Namangan region. In 1985, he graduated from the Tashkent State Pedagogical Institute as a history teacher. In 1985-1986, he was a history teacher at school No. 186 in Tashkent, in 1986-1988 he was a researcher at the Museum of the History of the Peoples of Uzbekistan named after Oybek of the Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Uzbekistan, in 1989-1992 he was a researcher at the Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Uzbekistan Graduate student of the Institute of History, in 1992-1992, researcher of the Museum of the History of the Peoples of Uzbekistan named after Oybek of the Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Uzbekistan, in 1992-1993, senior teacher of the Department "History of the Peoples of Uzbekistan" at the Tashkent State Pedagogical Institute, 1993- In 1996, the deputy dean for educational affairs of the Faculty of History of the Tashkent State Pedagogical Institute and the deputy chairman of the trade union of the institute, in 1996-2004, the vice-rector for spiritual and educational issues of the Tashkent State Pedagogical Institute (since 1998, the university), 2004 - In 2005, he was the dean of the faculty of professional development and retraining of Tashkent State Pedagogical University, in 2005-2009, he was the head of the spiritual and moral education and sports department of the center of secondary special and vocational education of the Ministry of Higher and Secondary Special Education. i, in 2010-2015, Deputy Chairman of the Committee on Science, Education, Culture and Sports of the Legislative Chamber of the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan, in 2015-2018, the Deputy Chairman of the Committee on Science, Education, Culture and Sports of the Legislative Chamber of the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan Member of the Committee on Sports Affairs, Chairman of the Committee on Science, Education, Culture and Sports of the Legislative Chamber of the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan in 2018-2019, Issues of Spirituality and State Language Development of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan in 2019-2021 head of the department, in 2021-2025 he worked effectively as the Rector of the Nizami Tashkent State Pedagogical University.

Kyrgyzboyev Abdug'affor Karimjonovich has been working as the Rector of Namangan State University since May 7, 2025.

Scientific activity

In 2005, Abdugafar Kyrgyzboyev defended his doctoral thesis on the topic of "International cooperation of the Republic of Uzbekistan with Asian countries" and received the scientific degree of doctor of historical sciences. In 2016, he was awarded the scientific title of professor.
