The Faculty of Economics was established on the basis of the socio-economic faculty according to the order of the rector of NamDU in 2020. 

The faculty has 39 academic groups at the undergraduate level, with 781 undergraduate students and 31 graduate students. In the current academic year, 4th-year students Abdullabekova Naila and Mirhamidova Gulibonular became laureates of the Naoviy State Term Scholarship. 4th-year student Abdunabiyev Ahmadbek became the champion of Uzbekistan in the May-Tai sport. More than 50 students are included in the “Young Scientists” club at the faculty, and a number of potential professors and teachers are assigned to their scientific and educational activities. Starting from the 2024-2025 academic year, students will be admitted to new areas such as “Banking”, “Financial Technologies” and “Accounting”, and 87% of students admitted to the 1st level are students with a foreign language certificate. This brought the number of educational programs at the faculty to 11.

Mission and Values

• The Faculty of Economics of Namangan State University was established in 2020 on the basis of the Faculty of Socio-Economics. Since its establishment, the faculty has been headed by the following: Ph.D., Associate Professor T.Abdullayev, Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Economics R.Imomov, Candidate of Economic Sciences, Associate Professor N.Narzullayev.
• The main goal of the Faculty of Economics of Namangan State University is to train competitive, innovative-thinking specialists with deep theoretical and practical knowledge in the field of economics, who can analyze modern economic processes.
• The main goals and objectives of the faculty can be explained as follows: First, to provide high-quality economic education, that is, to provide professional knowledge required in a market economy and to train economists in accordance with local and international standards.
• Secondly, to develop research activities, that is, to increase the scientific potential of students and professors and teachers and to study and propose solutions to regional and republican economic problems.
• Thirdly, to study the innovative and digital economy, that is, to form knowledge and skills in the application of digital technologies in the economy and to bring students closer to modern experience through startup projects and practice centers.

In the academic year 2024/2025, a student of the 4th stage of the direction of Tourism (on Sox) Mirkhamidova Gulibonu Mirabdullojon and a student of the direction of organization and management of the Mekhmonhona farm Abdullabekova Noilahan Gofurjon was the recipient of a state scholarship named Navoi

In order to ensure the employment and employment of graduates, a branch of the Department of Green Economy and Sustainable Business has been opened in the Namangan Regional Statistics Department and the Namangan Regional Investment and Foreign Trade Department of the Economics Department, and today it is planned that graduates will complete their graduation practice in these organizations.

For graduates of the 61010100-Organization and Management of Hotel Management and 61010400-Tourism (by area of ​​activity), a branch of the Department of Management has been opened in the Namangan Regional Tourism Department and the Namangan Grain Products Joint-Stock Company, and today it is planned that graduates will complete their graduation practice in these organizations.

2 of the graduates are Nomdor scholarship holders. 21 (24%) work in their field and economic sectors. 18 students are in the process of learning a foreign language, 8 students have a certificate of proficiency in a foreign language. Currently, they are teaching at language centers. The remaining 39 students have been assigned to the relevant department teachers for job placement.

The faculty has established cooperative relations with UTARA in Malaysia, SYNERGY in Russia, ANATOLI University in Turkey, and KING SEJONG University in Korea.
