We are all witnesses to the results of reforms in the field of education in our country in recent years.

In particular, Namangan State University has established international cooperation with leading higher education institutions in the developed countries of the world. He actively participates in various ratings of the world's higher education organizations and occupies increasingly high positions. It would not be wrong to say that the conditions and opportunities created for students and researchers at the university, the scientific and production laboratories that are being organized and planned for the development of research results, etc., are the results of reforms in the field.

Today, we have set great plans for the further development of the university.

It is known that an extended meeting of the Republican Council of Spirituality and Enlightenment was held on December 22, 2023 under the chairmanship of President Shavkat Mirziyoyev. At the meeting, the President emphasized that today the pace of development at the world level has become intense, and the impact of extremely conflicting processes is being felt in our country as well.

In fact, in the situation of increasing threats to the destiny of the Motherland and the people, it was the devotees of the nation - intellectuals with a wide-awake heart, poets and writers, artists, workers of the field of spirituality and enlightenment - who bravely came forward. This year, as one of our most important tasks to be carried out in our university, which is the home of intellectuals, is to form the feelings of patriotism among professors, staff and students, loyalty to the Motherland, deep study of the heritage of our ancestors, love for national symbols in the hearts of young people, etc. We will take concrete measures to further strengthen the sense of pride.

In particular, "The ideas of Jadidlar are in harmony with the strategy of new Uzbekistan!" It is our task to establish a "Spirituality and Culture Center" representing the honorable way of life of our ancient ancestors under the motto, to organize theaters and modern studies nights, as well as to organize special corners in university information and resource centers that show the creativity of our ancient ancestors. we did.

Yesterday, under the chairmanship of the head of our state, a meeting dedicated to the priority tasks to be implemented in the fields of education, healthcare, culture and sports in 2024 was held.

It was noted at the meeting that a new system for defining and evaluating professional skills will be introduced in professional and higher education. That is, 100 occupations with high demand are selected and occupational standards are developed based on the experience of Germany, Switzerland and Great Britain. Also, technological parks, laboratories and practical monocenters will be established in universities, technical schools and colleges.

Starting from the new academic year, training in technical schools will be launched on the basis of a new system that ensures the integration of "Academic" and "Working profession" components of education. In this case, the educational programs, textbooks, knowledge assessment criteria and requirements for teachers in the 1st-2nd year of the technical college are the same as in the universities. A "credit system" has also been introduced in technical schools, and "credits" collected for mastering science will be recognized in universities. Students who have accumulated enough "credits" for two years at the technical college will have the opportunity to continue their education in the second or third year of the university based on the "2+2" programs.

It is clear that the implementation of these tasks set by the President will bring reforms in the field to a new level. In other words, the professional education system of our country will rise to the level of world standards in the near future. This places a great responsibility on each of us.

Naturally, the most important thing in front of us today is the further development of international relations, the worthy participation in international ratings and international accreditation of our educational programs, providing quality education to our students, developing knowledge based on science, and training competitive personnel in accordance with today's requirements for personnel. are our tasks.

I would like to note with pleasure that Namangan State University has signed memorandums of understanding with about 70 foreign higher education institutions. In order to bring the university to the international level, cooperation relations were established with the Middle East Technical University of Turkey, which is among the top 500 in the world, Istanbul Technical University, Sannio University of Italy, Mainz University of Germany. In the future, the number of professors and students participating in international exchange programs will be increased by 5 times.

Currently, Namangan State University occupies 790th place in the GRRENMETRICS international ranking. We are expecting positive results in THE and QS international rankings. In the near future, a modern "Language Learning Center" will be established at the university for young people to learn languages in order to further develop international relations and widely implement advanced international experiences.

In the words of the President: "New Uzbekistan begins at the school threshold." For this reason, close cooperation with schools, technical schools and academic lyceums in the selection of young talents for the university, education of independent and logically thinking young people based on modern knowledge and experiences and national values, possessing noble qualities, is of priority in our activities, and the good news in this direction we will continue our work consistently. We actively support young talent and talent owners. In order to properly encourage young people at the university, events such as "Rector's Cup", "Rector's Olympiad" and "Rector's scholarship" are held for academic lyceums and schools of our region.

It is known that digitization is an effective way to reduce the human factor in order to create a favorable educational environment, ensure transparency and fairness in the rapidly developing world education scene. In this regard, the "Open Science Platform" will be launched at the university in the near future. This platform includes 24 contents and allows for digital monitoring of educational-normative, methodological, scientific-research and executive documents at the university.

Reshaping the organizational structure of the university on the basis of modern students, improving the work of the existing structures in form and content, and accordingly enriching the material and technical base is one of the important tasks ahead of us. For this purpose, the construction of the 7-story "Innovative Faculty" educational building, the "Eco-garden" area, which is being created as a scientific and practical training ground, 2 student accommodation buildings, the digital services center "Office registrar", It is planned to build 5 educational and scientific laboratories, 2 modern lecture halls with 200 seats and comfortable rooms for existing departments.

In a word, we will use all opportunities to further increase the position and prestige of Namangan State University in the republic and the world. After all, the harmony of education and upbringing is the most important factor that ensures the destiny of our nation and the development of our country!
